Guilt Free Cameroon Alaska - Super Easy Popsicle Recipe

To my primary school mates- remember back in the days when school would host dance competitions and parades and we’d stand outside in the hot sun waiting hours for the headmaster to come before the festivities even started? Back in those days when you wouldn’t dare to spend your small allowance on a cold pop to quench your thirst in fear of your parents discipline? Back in those days when 25 franc splurged on Alaska was money very well spent? Who knew that a simple mixture of sugar, water and food coloring would produce such treasured memories!

There weren’t many places that offered free drinks for the public in Cameroon during those times. Taps also weren’t common in many public places. One of the few ways people would cool off is with a soda pop drink and you’d usually paid extra to get a cold one. For children, a soda pop was an expensive solution that was out of the question. Therefore, Alaska became the cool down method of choice! It was cheap, easily accessible and available in every color of your favorite Top drink.

Now that the weather is heating up, it’s the perfect time to bring out this classic Cameroonian treat! We’ve kept the recipe just as simple but ten times healthier by using these flavorful Fit & Active Liquid Water Enhancers that you can easily find in your nearest grocery store. With just a few teaspoons of this liquid magic, you could indulge in one of your favorite Cameroonian treats sugar-free, synthetic color free, and guilt-free!
